Acharya Shree Yogeesh exemplifies a living enlightened master - awakened, compassionate, calm, peaceful, non-violent, and simple living.
Since the age of 14, when he became a monk, he has dedicated his life to spreading the truth about non-violence, soul, self-improvement, meditation, karmic law, vegetarianism, and much more world-wide.
After decades of teaching in India, he moved to the United States in the early 90's and established his first ashram, Yogeesh Ashram in Anaheim Hills, California. After a few years, Yogeesh Ashram, moved to its current establishment in Riverside, California. Presently at Yogeesh Ashram, several students live there and teach yoga, meditation, and spiritual living. Starting with a small group of dedicated families and students, Acharya Shree Yogeesh's teachings have flourished through the United States, Canada, and now in Europe.
In late 2007, Acharya Shree Yogeesh accepted the request of his students to post his teachings on YouTube, a popular video sharing network. With increased popularity of his revolutionary teachings, Acharya Shree has begun to reach a worldwide audience at a faster rate. As Acharya Shree states, "The best time to learn is now. Spiritual times are ahead. Truth seekers are ready."
In September 2008, Acharya Shree Yogeesh founded Siddhayatan Tirth and Spiritual Retreat Center, a 155 acre ashram and retreat near Dallas, Texas. Although in its early stages of development, Siddhayatan has already welcomed many visitors, students, and devotees from all around the world that wish to learn in the presense of Acharya Shree.
Aside from his ashrams in California and Texas, Acharya Shree also established Yogeesh Ashram International, an ashram in New Delhi India. In addition, he founded a children's school in Haldri, Hariana which offers free education for grades Pre-K to 12 to children in the village and surrounding areas. In the near future, Acharya Shree plans to establish a free hospital in New Delhi on land he acquired 12 years ago.
With the purest of intentions to help all through education, medical services, and spiritual learning, Acharya Shree Yogeesh continues to work from his compassionate heart, regardless of religion, economic status, race, sex, orientation, or culture.
